For the fourth of July, my wonderful parents got us all tickets to an evening at the Phoenix zoo, including dinner, games and fireworks. It was perfect. There were lots of things for he kids to do - a carousel, face painting, water fountains, and dancing, not to mention seeing some of the animals. After dinner, we were taken by tram to the back of the zoo where we had special seats for the city fireworks, complete with popsicles provided! The whole experience was just that much better because we all went in our matching Old Navy t-shirts!
The whole thing was a lot more fun than the july fourths we spent at the Logan stadium, sitting in the sun, after lugging our coolers full of drinks and snacks, watching the cloggers and jets fly over for four hours until the fireworks started. Although, still nothing beats the show in Logan with the fireworks right overhead and the gorgeous mountains all around.
